christian coop

Featuring Christian Coop, a celebrated architect and watercolour artist based in London. I had the pleasure of connecting with Christian through his Instagram page @freehandlines where he showcases many of his beautiful artwork typically accompanied by elaborate descriptions and interesting facts. I purchased two of them which now reside in my design studio. I admire his pieces because of their seemingly effortless composition, but emanate such intensity that they come to life. Most of his work is focused on London’s popular buildings, landmarks, and other hidden gems that one might easily dismiss. Aside from this, he undertakes commission projects and collaborates with hotels, restaurants, cafes, and other establishments throughout the world. One of his proudest moments was creating a watercolour painting of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in collaboration with Cartier. His collection of St. James paintings was also published in the Londonist, a trendy online source for everything and anything London. Christian truly is one of the most talented watercolour painters I have encountered when it comes to architectural illustrations, and I am proud to share his work here.
